It can take a lot of time & money to fix. When dealing with Timeslips database there are some do’s & don’ts. Database issues can occur when using Timeslips due to a number of reasons. Some of the reasons are: Timeslips being on a network. (When Timeslips is on a network a number of things can cause database issues, ex: Server shuts down, latency issues with the server). Anti-Virus scanning the Timeslips folder. If you experience database issues/corruption then there are a few steps to take in order to try to get it resolved: Try the Explore database. (If you get the same results in the Explore database then it’s your Timeslips program & not your database. Most likely your Timeslips program needs to be reinstalled.) Copy the database locally & test it. (Copy the database locally & try to duplicate the issue. If you don’t get the same results then it’s most likely your network environment & not your database.) Run Data Verification. (Copy the database locally & run data verification. If there are errors then contact Timeslips Support to have them resolved) Some precautions to take to help reduce database issues/corruption: Make sure everyone logs in with their own profile. This can stop database corruption such as User Profile & Security errors as well stuck Timer issues. Make sure you close out of Timeslips properly. Make sure that your Anti-Virus is not scanning the Timeslips folder. Make backups of your database regularly. Your database is your liviehood.
