Forum Post: RE: Are slip transaction numbers generated sequentially, so that if you know the last number generated at a particular time you can restrict your selection of slips to that number? Is there a way to determine the last number generated at any given time?

Bill_C: You are correct. Slips are assigned sequential Slip Transaction IDs and you can use those ID numbers as filters for both reports (such as Prebills) as well as Bills. You can see the highest slip number assigned by going to Show Slips, then Viewing by ID and making sure you have NO filters (show All). Then just sort by ID with the highest value at the top. Like so: You can also tell by typing in a new slip and hitting Save. The number in the Upper Left after the save is the last number assigned: Hope this helps. Nancy Duhon, Esq.
