Forum Post: Timeslips 2007 - Windows 7 / XP Multi-user not working

I've been scratching my head and can't seem to figure this one out. I got a client that has a copy of Sage Timeslips 2007. She originally had another guy install it and set it up with 3 workstations but I think it was setup incorrectly. Her license allows 5 workstations to use it at concurrently with one database. So, she wanted to upgrade her main machine, which was currently holding the database for the Timeslips 2007, to a new one. So, I bought a new computer for her and wanted to move the database from the old computer (windows xp pro) to the new Windows 7 pro machine. I found the folder that held the data and copied it over to the new computer. I followed these instructions on how to setup the network install: http://sagecity.na.sage.com/support_communities/sage_timeslips/f/51/t/2561 I installed the new computer as the server computer, so I put the program files in c:\timeslips. I shared the folder with permissions of everyone to read/write to that share. I opened up Timeslips program on the server computer, browsed the database directory by using the UNC path (\\192.168.0.10\timeslips\data02) and it successfully opened, which was great! On the workstations, I ran the \\192.168.0.10\timeslips\loclinst\setup.exe and installed it in c:\program files (x86)\timeslips directory, which was the default. After installation, I tried to open the database using the UNC path \\192.168.0.10\timeslips\data02 and it throws this error and won't open the database: http://s7.postimg.org/uaazs82mz/IMG_8020.jpg The only way I could get it to open on the other workstations (I have 2), is to open one at a time. I tried the following things: 1. Disabled tstimer.exe on the server ( renamed the file) and made sure it doesn't open up during bootup. 2. Disabled the add-in Outlook for Timeslips. 3. Open the timeslips.exe file from \\192.168.0.10\timeslips\timeslips.exe on a workstation (wouldn't allow you to run it with a message stating that they no longer support that) 4. Check the about -> timeslips and checked the installation directory. It shows \\192.168.0.10\timeslips. I can open a sample database on the workstation and it opens up from the server computer. Do you guys know what I'm doing wrong? This is frustrating and the owner doesn't want to upgrade to the new version, so I can't even get tech support if I wanted to.
