I agree wholeheartedly, Allen. I told my employers (two attorneys) that I had just basic info in Timeslips when I was hired. At the time of my interview, one employer talked about training for me, the other appeared, in my opinion, to be a little reluctant. Once I was hired, I got about an hour training on the phone once when there was a problem (by a local IT person). That was it. I came in for a bit almost every weekend trying to figure it out on my time. Between SageCity help and a borrowed "Timeslips for Dummies" book I threw myself into learning. I inherited a bit of a mess as there were a lot of people in my position before me as I was told. On the screen it says, "too many locks...." and other things too numerous to mention. On another note, I've learned so much from the consultants and just plain perseverance and I have been running batch billing monthly mostly without a problem. I told one of the employers (the one that is in the office more frequently) about training and how the consultant could come to me or do it remotely (I'd prefer someone next to me) but the cost seemed to be an issue. As I told Caren, one of the T/S consultants, I will try to get training. At this point I wonder how much time I would need as I have more knowledge than I did this past year. The other employer who I barely get to see wants me to get training. So it's between the two of them. We shall see. I will have to keep gently pushing as I know training would make things go much more smoothly. Thanks for your suggestion and help. I really appreciate it.
