Forum Post: Duplicate time entries on printed bills, but not on user time entries...

I've been using TimeSlips for 14 years (most recent upgrade last year), and have just run into a problem I simply can't solve.  I am a paralegal and enter  our time on the slip entry page, entering task, client, detailed description, date and time spent.  Billing rate is locked in when the client is initially entered into TimeSlips.  I use keystroke Ctrl-N to save the entry and bring up a new slip.  Because of past problems, when we had multiple TS users (now it's only myself), I tick off each entry from the lawyer's hand-written time sheets as I enter it into TS.  Once all his time is entered, and before printing the bills, I double-check by comparing the hand-written time sheet entries to the chronological entries on the lawyer's (User View) Time and Expense Slip List.  In preparing bills for January's time and expenses, there were a number of hand-written time-slip entries that didn't show up on the User View Slip List (even though they were marked as having been entered - and I had a specific memory of certain unique entries).  Thinking the entries didn't save with my Ctrl-N method, I began to re-enter each one that was missing.  When I ran the bills, all of my  re-entries showed up as duplicates on the bills.  I went through each bill in the preview stage and deleted every duplicate entry, then printed the bills and moved all to proof stage.  The lawyer made a couple of changes to some of the bills and when I cleared them from proof stage to make the changes, the duplicate entries were still there!  Even though they had not shown up on the printed bills.  I am terrified at what might happen at the end of this month... There were thousands of dollars in over-billings from duplicate entries before I deleted the duplicates.  Any ideas as to what has happened here?
