You 'could' put it in Rate 2, but then you have to change all of your client rate tables to pull his rate from the #2 slot and not the #1 slot. I would just wait until January 30 or so and change the #1 rate to the new rate. When you do this, and save the change, you will get a pop up wizard asking you if you would like to change existing slips to this new rate, you can then select the date range of only since January 1. All new slips created after the change will only reflect the new rate. *Why wait til the end of January? So that you can make sure that you get all your old December stuff done correctly and those bills out the door before you change the value. Of course, if you get all of your 2015 billing done before January 30th, you could make the change sooner.
