I am using Timeslips 2017 and Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2017. I am setting up the TAL links again after a 10 year gap, following the retirement of our bookkeeper (who refused to use TAL and chose double entry of all invoices and payments). I thought I had the link set up correctly, but now I am trying to run basic month-end reports in Quickbooks and I realize that the routine Quickbooks Income/Expense reports do not capture payments that posted by general journal entries. How do I fix that or work with that? The issue came to light as I was trying to capture the income data I needed for sales tax reporting in June, and my efforts to solve the problem raised a second question: Which report in Timeslips is the best report to use for determining the revenue received in a specific period for each taxing jurisdiction?
