I would suggest looking for and removing the PDOX or Paradox files that may very well be present in your database folder.  Hopefully your timeslip.cfg file has not been damaged with the renaming, etc.  Also, there should be only one main.db file that you care about in your live database. Lastly, as Caren says, while you may have had years of using Timeslips 2006 under unsupported operating systems is OK to a point, I too would recommend getting your billing software current.
