Forum Post: RE: Client funds replenishment
Welcome sfblg! Your last part of your post is appearing as courier text and running off the page to the far right, but I think I might be able to help you anyway. As Caren has mentioned, the...

Thank you so much Caren and Nancy! Now is showing correctly. I appreciate your time!

If you have a support plan, I would recommend that you get back with them and have them resolve your problem for you. Â What you describe might be navigator settings or you might have changed the...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Accessing different pieces of Client Name and Address Standard
You will need to build a custom report for that, but it can easily and quickly be done. More importantly, why do you want it exported to Excel? Â What is the ultimate goal? Hope this helps. Â If you...

Nancy, thank you very much for your reply! I will look into that. Ultimately we would like to do a "mail merge" and send out client form letters. I realize that Time Slips has mail merge capability,...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Missing Invoice Numbers on the Payment Register
Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but the Payment Register would typically show only payments, not Invoices, so that would be why you don't see any by default. It sounds like you really just...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Accessing different pieces of Client Name and Address Standard
So, you want Timeslips to chop up the addresses into pieces so that you can then put those pieces back together in your merge? Ooookaaaaaay. You can do that if you like. But the custom report will be...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Accessing different pieces of Client Name and Address Standard
Not sure whether the name and address all in one field will work for us. I need to access the pieces separately for salutation purposes, return address purposes, etc., so we can put them back together...

Hi Nancy, Thank you for responding so quickly. In following your suggestion, right before hitting the print button, the lower left side of the window only has Date Range and Overview buttons, no...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Missing Invoice Numbers on the Payment Register
Ah, I see. Â You are just running it straight from the list of reports. Â Which is fine, but you will need to double-click on it to open up the report details to see the Options button. Â Once you make...

Nancy remarked that the custom report WOULD include demographic information in separate fields. Â I would encourage you to go that route with her if you don't want to evaluate the internal to Timeslips...

View ArticleForum Post: Client First Name and Last Name
Are Client First Name and Last Name available separately as fields to access for a custom report? I don't see them. We are on v.2013 soon to upgrade to 2015. Thanks!
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Changing Client Classification to Inactive and Closed
You will likely need to reclassify a client as open to review or research the history on the file. You will not lose anything if you classify a client as closed for three years and then make them open...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Changing Client Classification to Inactive and Closed
I suggest thinking of Inactive as clients you are no longer working with but need to keep the information around. This may be for conflict checking, for past reporting or because you think they may...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Changing Client Classification to Inactive and Closed
Thank you. But should we change our mind about closing or do it in error before a purge is run, we will be able to change the status of the client back to InActive or even Open and not have lost any...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Changing Client Classification to Inactive and Closed
Thank you. The information you provided about the conversion of the Timeslips database was timely as we are upgrading to 2015 tomorrow or over the weekend.
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Client First Name and Last Name
No, they are not. Timeslips only has the single value field Client Full Name.
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Changing Client Classification to Inactive and Closed
Correct......if you classify a client as closed and later decide (prior to purge) that was a mistake, you can always reclassify accordingly prior to purging and the data is still there.
