I am trying to find an A/R report to run that will show all past due slips and invoices, including on hold clients. I am looking for this report to also show slips that have not yet been billed. If there are separate reports that can get me both results that is fine to, thank you!

I wrote a report that outputs to an Excel workbook. The spreadsheet of the output is always labeled as the current date. Is there a way to specify the sheet name so it doesn't default to the date.

Forum Post: Overriding Timesheet Values
How do you override a timesheet value, without adjusting the timesheet itself. For example: The company employee spends 5 hours on a project, so it shows: 5 hours @ $X/hr However I wish to invoice for 6 hours, so it shows 6 hours @ $X/hr How can I override the 5 and replace I with a 6, without editing the person's timesheet. Can I do some kind of markup or adjustment in the billing stages?

Forum Post: Index File Error Code: 122
I get the following error code everytime I open my database. Is a solution outside of buying a service plan? Your database has an error in an index file. Please close and then restart Timeslips. If this error happens repeatedly, please contact the Technical Support group. Area: Table Error Code: 122 Class: tBDETableExceptionC Table: Slip (60) Record: n/a Version: 22.0.1.253 Date: 6/5/2014 Time: 12:12:05 PM Exception tBDETableExceptionC in module Timeslip.exe at 00B1C133. Forum Post: TimeCapture - can I have my TSTimer back?
Why does the "Client" drop down menu in TimeCapture not allow me to type more than one letter? Why do I have to then scroll to find the rest of the client name? Why do I have to have a "Caption" and a "Group" to fill it just so I can figure our which timer is which? These "features" of TimeCapture make it cumbersome enough that I don't use this program. Can I have my TSTimer back?

Forum Post: Error on Opening Database
I am using Timeslips 2014. Just four days ago I did my billing and everything was fine and I did a back-up and that went fine as well. Today I tried logging in to my TS program and I received the message "Cannot access directory.(9219)" and it also gave me the Area, the Code, and the Class. I can do nothing to gain access to my billing. Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem? Thank you!

Forum Post: Multiple Concurrent Users No Longer Working
I had to do a reinstall of Timeslips 2006 for one of my customers. When I did the install it asked for the license info for the 11 users. Everything seems to work except multiple users can't log on concurrently. I have removed all the workstations from Station Manager. I don't know what I'm missing.

Forum Post: ETUtilityerror when attempting to run DV in Timeslips 2014
A client (Timeslips 2014 SR2) has a linking error in A/R as reported by running DV but I cannot get DV to run with the options checked for both validation and integrity. It will run with just validation checked - but does not fix anything. As soon as I try to run with 'integrity' box too checked I get box saying Timeslips has encountered an error - invalid filename or file does not exist. Details reveal system error, ETUtility error. Tech said to reinstall BDE, delete locks/login/temp files. delete pdoxusrs / paradox files which I did and still get the same error. Have even tried on a stand alone workstation not on their network. Does anyone have any more suggestions? Many thanks Jane Giles

Forum Post: Custom fields not displaying correctly
Hi - we use custom fields in our client set up to designate fee earners names, offices, etc. For 1 user, the display is corrupted such that a couple of the fields are displaced and are not visible. I've done the usual - deleted and reinstalled the prefs file, deleted the Borland database files, checked conflict with MS Outlook, uninstalled and reinstalled timeslips, but nothing seems to work. The operator is an administrator who needs to be able to enter info into all of our custom fields - and is the only operator who has this problem across 33 users (so not a database issue) - please can anyone help? Thank you.

Forum Post: Unapproving a bill
Hello, I entered a payment on the wrong client. I unapproved the final bill, deleted the payment and reprinted the bill. My issue is this. When I reprinted the bill it should only show payments and slips from May 1 through May 31, but it is showing a payment from October of 2008. Why is this doing this and how can I get it to not show that payment? Thank you.

Forum Post: Making a payment acknowledgment?
Is there a function within Timeslips that will let me create an acknowledgment of a received payment that I can send to a client? The only way I can figure out is printing out an A/R Transaction Listing for the client and time the payment came in, but others at the office insist they used to know a way to have Timeslips make something more formal. I'm using Timeslips 2008 but maybe other editions do the same or similar thing to accomplish this.

Forum Post: Undo a bill
I printed and approved a bunch of bills on Friday and today (Monday) I found that I needed to undo one invoice and move the slips to a different client. It is not showing up in my "undoable" bill list and I have no idea why not. Any ideas why? I did not print a new bill for this client. Is there any report or log that I can view to see why this bill is NOT undoable?

Forum Post: Changing Client Classification: Unbilled Open A/R Transactions
I'm using Timeslips Version 2012. On almost every client we attempt to change the classification for (from Open to Inactive/Closed) we get this message: "Unbilled Open A/R transactions". I've searched the forum and found two similar posts, both of which were told: The very last payment that you receive (the one which pays off the balance and brings it to Zero) has not been approved. It is considered a WIP transaction. Print another bill for this client. The bill should show the previous balance followed by the unbilled A/R transaction resulting in a zero balance bill. You should also check the options for generating a bill to be sure $0 balance bills can be processed. However, I still receive the "No data was selected. Either there is no data available or the Selection filters exclude all records." error message when attempting to generate a zero balance bill. Under the Generate Bills Report Options, I have the following options checked: Show bills with balances but no activity Show bills with funds activity only Include Clients who are paid in full A/R transactions obey the slip date range filter Include payments with unapplied amounts Also, the Slip date range filter is from Earliest through today, so would include all A/R transactions. Beyond that, I don't know what other options/settings are available. We've typically just been changing the classification regardless, but I'd prefer if we can avoid generating this warning. I assume there's good reason to approve the final payment? Thanks for any help!

Forum Post: Missing psbts32.dll and PDCTts32.dll
When trying to run some old reports from Crystal 8.5 with TS2014 I get an error that the above dll's are missing. I did install the Crystal Link from the Help, Purchase Add-Ons. Also, if I go to Features Enabled, Other, Crystal Reports and click on Crystal Link and Install it tells me it can't find my Crystal installation! I didn't install it to the default location -could that be the problem?

Forum Post: RE: Custom fields not displaying correctly
My guess is that it is the monitor settings. Close Timeslips. Right click on a blank area of the monitor and choose screen resolution. Then click on "Make text and other items larger or smaller". The behavior you are describing usually occurs when this is NOT set to default. Try changing it. You will need to log off and log back in to windows and then open Timeslips.

Forum Post: RE: Unapproving a bill
Because it things that the October payment has never been approved/needs approving. If you don't want to show it to the client for some reason, you can tell it to print just the payment (by excluding all slips) approve that, then let the slips in and approve them. But note that the previous balance will change as the payment is approved and you might want to show that to the client. Or not. Hope this helps. Forum Post: RE: Making a payment acknowledgment?
In Timeslips v2008 could create a customized bill layout that shows what you want. You would need to assign the layout to the client. With Timeslips v2015 this is a built in option.

Forum Post: RE: Making a payment acknowledgment?
Just print a bill and filter out all unbilled slips. You should be left with only three items: Previous Balance, Payment - Thank You and New Balance -0-. You could approve that off and mail it to the client if you liked. Hope this helps.
