Forum Post: Unable to create a rate that has been used previously

Hello, I am going by memory as I am not at work. Anyhow, I have TS 2012. I created a new client and I went into "Client Information" and manually typed in $100 for the timekeeper hourly billing rate. When I generated a bill for this client, the hourly rate was $275.00 which is a Level 1 rate which if I remember correctly is a Timekeeper rate. I looked up a previous client in Timeslips that was billed at the $100 rate to see how it was created. At the bottom of the Client Info screen, it said "when these don't apply, use rules from None". Underneath that (on the previous client) it said "when no rules apply, default to Source Client - Level 1. So after reading the previous client info, I went back to the Client Info screen for the new client and did the same thing as the previous client - namely, I told it to default to Source - Client - Level 1. The hourly rate still shows as $275.00. Why? I cannot figure this out. Should I create a new rate of $100? If the person before me already created a $100 rate shouldn't Timeslips "honor" it? Yet, when I looked at the rate table I DID NOT see a rate of $100. Maybe someone deleted the $100 rate. I'm thinking I should create a $100 rate. How do I create a new rate? And I believe (not sure as I'm at home now) that most of the rates on Timeslips are through "Timekeeper" and not "Client". D
