As a general rule, the error message tells you the problem accurately. When the automatic backup goes to run, it cannot access something that it needs. Most often that is the target location for the backup file, but it might also be the database itself. The reason Caren is saying to configure it on your server, is because presumably the server ALWAYS has access to it's own hard drives. Whereas a multitude of things can disconnect workstations from a server, especially after hours. We've seen network cards disconnect due to energy efficiency settings, permissions get messed up, etc. It can be a bit of a hunt to find the specific issue. But the error message itself is usually correct.
