You were clear. The setting is based on the client and will change based on the client and the settings for the rate rule for that client.

If you right click on the Timeslips icon and go to properties and then compatibility there's an option about handling display settings at high DPI. If you check that it may help.

If it's a backup it will be .bku. If it is the database in its "raw" format, then it is not one file but a folder with a large quantity of files. You need all the files but you can search for main.db....
