Forum Post: Disappearing bills
"We just upgraded to 2017 and database is not backed up to our server vs my computer. Not sure if this is the cause of any of our problems - however, I have a long time r client who had dozens of bills...

Not really, but you can "print" any of the Funds Reports to Excel and then search for the amount there.
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Finding Bills to reprint
With older versions of Timeslips you had to print to a printer to have a reprint bill. What you can do to recreate is to use the history bill and limit based on billed on invoice number or date. It may...

My recommendation would be to run a report of balance by client in Timeslips and in your bookkeeping program. Once you narrow down by client you could look at that client. This will be more efficient...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Disappearing bills
In older versions of Timeslips, if you didn't print to a physical printer there was no reprint bill image.
View ArticleForum Post: Is there the capability to send out mass emails?
I saw that 3 and 4 years ago, questions similar to this were asked, but I am not sure whether things have changed since then. We are on Timeslips 2015. Currently, when we want to send out mass...
View ArticleForum Post: Purging Billed Transactions
In the old Timeslips V12, you used to have to purge your billed transactions at the end of the year. Do I still need to purge the billed transactions in Timeslips 2017 at the end of the year?
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Purging Billed Transactions
You have never HAD to purge transactions at the end of the year. The reason some firms purged was that there was a limit of 300,000 slips in the database. With the 2017 version that limit was removed....
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Is there the capability to send out mass emails?
You can email bills out of Timeslips but I would think that these envisioned emails are the job of your email client?
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Is there the capability to send out mass emails?
I think that the reason there is some interest in being able to do this is that Timeslips already has the email addresses stored in its database.
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Is there the capability to send out mass emails?
I don't think so. If you were sticking with snail mail, Timeslips could make the process easier using its Mail Merge feature (select Reports > Mail Merge). Here you can design your letter inserting...

I have found that some of my accounts on Timeslips say they aren't on hold when they are and they don't generate a pre-bill.

Okay, so, you're saying they SHOULD be on hold right? So then they correctly should NOT print on a Prebill Worksheet unless you optionally release the hold. Where do you feel that it says they are not...

On the overview page it says NO under the client hold, but when I go to the holds area it IS on hold. We depend on the pre-bills to show us what’s being held at the end of the month. There have been a...

You might want to take a look at the Charges on Hold report (I believe it on the Client tab.) You can have a client level hold and/or a slip level hold. You might not have a client hold, but a slip...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Is there the capability to send out mass emails?
Yeah, I suppose you will have to export your mailing list out of TSlips and then into Outlook and send out a group email, or batches of group emails (blind-cc'd). At least that way you will have your...

I couldn't find that report, but I discovered that if I put "full bill" on hold it showed that it was on hold. Without putting that hold on it said it wasn't on hold in the overview screen. Any idea...

It sounds like the "overview screen" you are referring to is the Client List window. Yes, the red H is only present for a Full Bill hold, and not for specific holds like 'Hold A/R transactions', 'Hold...
