installed on a new server and everything else is very fast. reprint bills is very fast. text searches on the server are much faster. on the clients it's ridiculous any ideas?

Glad I was able to help. Just turn off QuickConnect in TeamViewer and you should be good even if it is running. If you ever decide to upgrade, just let me know and I will be happy to help.

Make sure the file is not marked read only. Then look for paradox.lck or pdoxusrs.* and delete any found. Sometimes rebooting will help.

Thanks for this info. I found one PDOXUSRS.NET file and renamed it to read PDOXUSRS.NET (old). The specific file mentioned above does not have the "read only" box checked when I look up its properties....

yes much faster on the server, (17 seconds) DB is 172MB text search all clients checked all slips checked
